Kiwa and August Bridge create a template for success
Kiwa and August Bridge’s collaborative relationship leads to global innovation in document output management.
Founded in The Netherlands in 1948 by Dutch water companies to safeguard the country’s drinking water supply, Kiwa now employs over 10,000 people in over 40 countries, in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Oceania.
Kiwa specializes in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), training, consultancy and data services to create trust in its customers’ products, services, processes, management systems and employees. Kiwa’s beaver logo represents the company’s origins in the water sector, but also an alignment to the company values of being ambitious, reliable and engaged. Today, Kiwa operates in a wide variety of market segments, ranging from construction and energy supply, to healthcare, food, feed and farming.
Kiwa decided to implement an end-to-end ERP solution that could be rolled out across the countries, which would include document output, distribution and storage. Microsoft Dynamics 365 was chosen along with ISV solutions from other software providers to achieve complete functionality.
Meeting country specific requirements
One of the key challenges for Kiwa was the differing country requirements when it came to document compliance. Every country has his own juridical requirements that need to be taken into consideration when creating an end-to-end solution, however these requirements can run the risk of specific regions and/or countries requiring high levels of customization.
Using Lasernet, August Bridge was able to rise to the challenge and meet Kiwa’s requirements. Albana Huska, Manager Application Management, Kiwa N.V. said: “We have 1000s of users and clients worldwide, all with their own unique requirements. August Bridge’s extensive use of Lasernet enabled us to export the document layout from one country, customize it according to another country’s requirements, and import it into their solution. This saved us time and money by providing us with a global template to work from.
The global template also has advantages towards support and will save time as changes will only need to be made once, rather than for each country. This will provide us with a cost-effective solution that we can support and maintain ourselves. We have successfully rolled out to several countries and are in the process of rolling it out to more.”
“Kiwa is gradually moving everything over to digital and it’s excellent to have August Bridge as part of the journey.”

Working together with trust
Using Lasernet, August Bridge has also been able to satisfy Kiwa’s document storage and distribution requirements.
These included putting rules in place to ensure invoices were received by the correct email address.
“Kiwa is gradually moving everything over to digital and it’s excellent to have August Bridge as part of the journey.” added Huska. “Our organisation is rapidly growing which requires flexibility. August Bridge is able to provide us with the flexibility we need, along with effective communication and ongoing support. This is where August Bridge stands out. They’re doing a great job for Kiwa so I can recommend their services.”
